Discover the rehabilitation area of Coin de Val

A major project

From the accommodation to the Tour de Val, the entire village will be updated to give the station a new lease of life.

In order to maintain this new development in line with the existing village and to avoid a massive change of character, the architecture will be a subtle blend of noble materials, whether traditional or recent: lauze roofs, buildings of different heights, wood, stones and plaster. Although the techniques of construction has evolved, the presence of local traditional materials will participate in the charm of the hamlet.

Synonymous of opportunity for the many traders of the Corner who will take the opportunity to rethink their offers and adapt them to the expectations of the customers of Val d'Isère, the Coin will also welcome new shops, restaurants and accommodations.

Large parking lots with underground access and narrow lanes will leave the outdoor space for pedestrians and skiers. The street of the Snowy Sports Park will allow a skier to return to the Olympic Avenue. A new icon of the resort, La Tour de Val will be talking from one end of the avenue to the other with the entrance to Val Village.

THREE PHASES OF ACTION

2018 - 2019 : L'AVAL

The first phase of action will include the rehabilitation of the reception of Val d'Isère at the entrance to the village, the bus station, the Maison de l'Enfance, a 50-room hotel suitable for a modern and sporting clientele, and Residence of 20 units.

2019 - 2020 : THE CENTER

The second phase will include the relocation of existing businesses as well as the creation of new businesses. New icon of the resort, the Tour de Val will host on the ground floor of shops and cafes as well as a panoramic restaurant at the top and the new hotel Tarentaise. New condominiums at the bottom of Coin Street and the mechanized link with the snow front will be created during this phase.

2021 - 2022 : L'AMONT

This third and final phase of the project will also include the relocation of existing establishments as well as new businesses and housing. It will be the occasion for the commissioning of the underground walkway which will link up with the snow front.
